Kwesi Pratt Jnr, Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, has questioned the Ghana Police Service for failing to clamp down on illegal drug offenders in the country. Speaking on PEACE FM's "Kokrokoo", Kwesi Pratt wondered why the drug business in Ghana seems to continue thriving, even when to him; the security services are not oblivious of the hideouts of the offenders. According to the seasoned journalist, the Ghana Police Service cannot deny knowledge of the places where people trade in cocaine. He alluded to the recent cocaine bust involving Nayele Ametefeh, who was arrested at the Heathrow Airport in London in possession of cocaine and was on Monday, January 5, 2015 sentenced to 8 years eight months in prison. Mr. Pratt therefore charged the security services, particularly the Ghana Police Service, to swoop down on the illegal drug traders and apprehend them. �I don�t believe Ghana Police does not know the hideouts where illegal drug businesses are done. Everybody knows where we sell cocaine in Ghana. Everybody knows where we do everything; nonetheless nobody is arresting anybody," he insisted.
