PPP Elects New Executives To Replace Bewitched Politicians In Ghana

Over the weekend, the Progressive People�s Party (PPP) held an election at Brong Ahafo to elect Regional Officers. The aim of the exercise is to keep the party apposite and propel it to greater heights in the 2016 general elections. Peacefmonline.com was privileged to speak to Mr. Charles Owusu, an executive member of the party concerning the elections. According to him, out of the over thousand and two hundred (1200) members of the party who attended the congress, nine hundred and fifty seven (957) delegates participated in the voting process. Mr. Seth Gomnah emerged as the Brong Ahafo Chairman of the party. Other Executives include Vice Chairman Adum Atta Kwasi Prince, Regional Organizer Emmauel Oduro, Assistant Regional Organizer Alima Nyameke, Regional Treasurer Clement Kadaag Jnr. Regional Women Organizer Boahemaa Faustina, Asst. Women Organizer Quampah Bernice, Education Officer Sumaila Ibrahim and Youth Organizer Adjei Elvis. For the next four years, the elected Regional Officers would serve the party and map out strategic plans which would bring the PPP to power. �Everything went on smooth at the congress grounds and for us the PPP, the campaign to win power has started�, Mr. Owusu observed. Asked about what distinguishes the PPP from the other political parties, Mr. Owusu raised certain salient points to answer the above question.
