In keeping with its commitment to ensure that females attain education at the highest level possible, telecommunications giant, Vodafone Ghana, has partnered British Council to launch a scholarship scheme for needy but brilliant female JHS students interested in studying Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics at the secondary school level.
Speaking to a section of Media, British Council Executives as well as Vodafone Ghana management and staff at the event, Stella Agyenim Boateng, the Director of Human Resource at Vodafone Ghana said “the number of females employed within the technology field in Ghana is disproportionately lower than males both at the secondary school and tertiary level and we believe in empowering women to become successful in their career choices and this we continue to demonstrate through our diversity and inclusion activities.”
