Armo-Kwaw, a 47-year-old driver at Half Assini has been arrested by the police for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old primary six girl of Half Assini Christian Academy.
The Jomoro district Police Commander, Superintendent of Police John Ferguson Dzineku, told the GNA that the suspects and victim were neighbours at Amenzuley in Half Assini.
He said on March 2 the suspect sent the girl to buy him ice water and when the girl brought it Kwaw lured the girl to a nearby uncompleted building and defiled her.
The Police Commander said the girl bled profusely from her private part as a result of the act and when she returned home she reported her ordeal to her father who later reported the matter to the Police.
SP Dzineku said the girl was admitted to the Half Assini Government Hospital for three days due to the injuries she sustained.
