Sellas Tetteh Unfazed By Nigeria Threat

Black Satellites coach Sellas Tetteh is unperturbed by the threat from Nigeria  indicating his side can seal through to the finals of the African Youth Championships by defeating their counterparts at the  Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium.
 
Ghana and Nigeria scuffle out in the first semifinals clash in Dakar on the quest of securing a place at the finals of the competition.

The flying Eagles however looks favorite in today’s clash having defeated Ghana 2-0 in a pre-tournament friendly.

But Sellas Tetteh who guided the side to the finals in the last edition of the competition is unfazed by the threat of his opponent.

 “Nigeria has a team with a lot of cohesion simply because the team is dominated by graduates of the side that won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in 2013. They have consistency and continuity, and the cohesion and understanding of the team is there”.

 “We know them well having played two friendlies with them and we will prepare for them. We will take the challenges they will throw at us and pick out the best out of a difficult situation and be winners on the day”.

 “It is clear Nigeria has an advantage having played at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium previously but that won’t take anything away. Our mental fortitude has to be strong.”

Winner in today’s game automatically book a place at the finals of the 2015 African Youth Championships.
