NDC Has A Deaf And Dumb Defect, But We Will Fix It In 3 Days - Charles Owusu

Government must immediately gird its loin and be prepared to face the wrath of a group who are determined to protest in an unprecedented manner. The group by name "Save Ghana" has chosen to demonstrate on Wednesday (25-03-15), Thursday (26-03-15) and Friday (27-03-15) in the Ashanti Region.

Mr. Charles Owusu, a member of the group and the Progressive People’s Party tells Peacefmonline.com that the aim of their protest is to save Ghana from the unbearable hands of the National Democratic Congress.

According to him even if the current NDC government pretends to play “deaf and dumb” with Ghanaians, "Save Ghana" would perform an operation on and restore their sight and hearing abilities at the end of the three days protest march.

He adds that with the recent unstable power conditions, "Save Ghana" foresees that many could lose their jobs and for this reason, would demonstrate to avert the situation.

A lot of generators cry these days because of the load shedding exercises going on. Companies that are affected by it are private businesses. If we (Save Ghana) don’t demonstrate to alert government about it, many workers in the private sectors would lose their jobs”, he said.

Mr. Owusu also mentioned that one other factor that motivated them to come up with such a plan is borne out of the over bloated voters’ register which the Electoral Commission (EC) has “deliberately” refused to work on.

Save Ghana won’t sit down and allow an institution like the EC to destroy Ghana. Their refusal to work on the bloated voters’ register could lead to a civil war and it could affect us all”, he said.

Mr. Charles Owusu added that in the aftermath of ‘questionable general elections’, the EC is accustomed to using verbal dialogues to solving issues. According to him, the ancient style wouldn’t work anymore for certain political parties like the PPP.

Civil wars have been as a result of the aftermath of questionable elections”, he said.

He therefore called on opinion leaders, religious and traditional leaders and the general public to endeavor to attend the 3 day demonstration.
