Flop Goalie Razak Braimah Dropped As Grant Set To Ring Changes To Stars Team For Mali Clash

Black Stars coach Avram Grant is expected to shuffle his pack when he leads his side to the Stade Sebastien Charlety tomorrow against the Eagles of Mali in France.

Although the tie is billed as a friendly, the Israeli trainer will be hoping a few changes to the team will aid the Stars to avoid a consecutive defeat against a troublesome Malian side since finishing second at AFCON 2015.

Goalie Razak Braimah, who was caught out by a lob from Moussa Konate is expected to make way for Fatau Dauda while striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom who impressed after coming off the bench to grab a consolation goal against Senegal at the Stade Oseane in Le Havre will make a strong case to start tomorrow's game.

In defence, Leicester'sJeffrey Schlupp will be hoping to make his first start since returning to the side after missing the Equatorial Guinea AFCON through injury.

Schlupp sat out of last Saturday's match is expected to be chosen ahead of Belgium-based Frank Acheampong, who was a surprise choice for an unfamiliar defensive role against the Teranga Lions.

John Boye and Daniel Amartey will be hoping for an opportunity after their partnership lapses which leaked two goals against the Teranga Lions, after Jonathan Mensah sustained an injury.

Club Africain midfielder Seidu Salifou will be hoping for a debut in defensive midfield, while David Accam and Solomon Asante will be seeking an opportunity on the flanks.

Tomorrow's clash will be the fifth clash between the two West African sides in the last three years, after the Malians beat the Stars 3-1 for the bronze medal in their last meeting at the AFCON in South Africa, having earlier met at the group stage.
