Former Asante Kotoko attacker Yahaya Mohammed has described the Club’s recent elimination from the CAF Champions League as unfortunate.
 
Kotoko suffered a setback on Sunday after losing 2-1to Algerian side MC Eulma in the second leg tie at the Babayara Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors for the third consecutive time failed to get to the second round of the competition.

Yahaya Mohammed has however bemoaned the ill-fated result recorded by his former Club which eventually saw them exit the CAF Champions League.

“I will say it was very unfortunate for them to exit the competition. We were monitoring the game on the internet and Kotoko was leading 1-0 at half-time and we will all happy,” the Ittihad Tripoli attacker told Adom Fm.

“But all of a sudden we got to realize they are down 2-1 and we were very surprised. It would have been very good for both Kotoko and Hearts to qualify but it was just unfortunate on the part of Kotoko.”

The firebrand attacker also suffered elimination in the CAF Confederations Cup after his team got booted out by Ivorian side ASEC Mimosa.
