Akyem North MP Donates Vehicle To Ashanti Regional Executives of NPP

The NPP Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang has donated a vehicle, a Mahindra Bolero 4X4 to his constituency executives and some representatives from the regional party office in an effort to help boost the party's campaign in capturing political power in 2016.

Making the donation on easter monday at the party's office at Asante Akyem north, Agogo, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang assured the party executives that he was willing to contribute his quota to the party in order to help capture power from the Mahama led NDC administration.

"Let's in our little ways contribute in diverse ways to support our party, the NPP as the 2016 election approach. We can't take chances in 2016. The country has suffered enough under this incompetent administration. The onus lies with us, the NPP , especially the executives to make sure we appeal to the voters especially the floating ones," he opined.

Explaining what informed his decision to get the vehicle, the NPP MP disclosed that the proximity of the constituency to the Afram plains makes accessibility to that place very difficult coupled with the fact that the constituency has no single vehicle to carry out party work.
He advised the executives to use the vehicle to the advantage of the party and not for their personal use.

Sampson Agyei, the constituency chairman, on behalf of his colleagues assured the MP that the vehicle, would be put into good use to maximise votes for the party through campaigns.

According to the chairman, the MP has in numerous ways showed that he was indeed ready to serve the indigenes and the party at large.

Mentioning some projects carried out by the MP, Mr. Agyei said Baah Agyemang has built a teachers quarters at Asante akyem Domeabra and has donated desktop computers to various institutions in the constituency including the courts, GES, Agogo Hospital among others.

"Presently, I know the MP is building a CHPS compound for the people of Wiaso and has over 200 children he is paying school fees for."

Thanking him for the vehicle, the chairman continued, "this vehicle will go a long way in helping us. It came at the right time as well.

I wish to appeal to other Party functionaries to emulate this kind of gesture from Kwadwo Agyemang and donate to their respective constituencies in an effort to sell our campaign mesages when the campaign period starts," he appealed.

Adding his voice, the Ashanti regional secretary of the party, Sam Payne appealed to other 42 MPs in the Ashanti Region to do same.

" The truth is if all the 43 MPs in Ashanti Region should get at least a vehicle for their constituency, I believe 43% of our tasked in the region, that is to garner more votes for Nana Addo will be a done-deal"

He further pledged his full support for Kwadwo Baah Agyemang.

Present at the ceremony were the Regional NASARA coordinator and the council of elders of the party in the region who also assured the MP to help him go for a successful second term due to his good deeds in the constituency.
