The two, reportedly died from renewed chieftaincy clashes between the Jamong and the Jafog clans (both Bimobas) which lasted for several hours on Sunday April-12, 2015.

 

The deceased have been identified as a male teacher and a businessman (names withheld).

 

Their remains have been deposited at the Baptist Medical Centre (BMC) in Nalerigu.

 

As characteristic of the recurring conflict in the Bunkprugu/Yunyoo district, several houses were set ablaze with hundreds rendered homeless but Security patrols have intensified in Bunkprugu Township and its environs to prevent any spillover.

 

Residents are however living in fear as a result of the incident.
