This Friday April 24 marks the sophomore round of the iconic Mirror Ball to be held at the fine SOHO restaurant and bar located in the Marina Mall at Airport City.
Last month’s event sponsored by Mumm Champagne was the first at the new venue and it was overwhelmingly endorsed as the Mirror Ball’s new home by hundreds of premium revelers dressed in all white to usher in the new season appropriately.
As the home of Ghana’s favourite and most consistent monthly old school experience, the SOHO restaurant and bar lounge provides the perfect ambience for any discerning and hardworking folks to unwind on the last Friday of each month. A very cozy atmosphere is created by the mood lightning and professional sound system and the service is reflective of any fine dining establishment in the world.
Always ready to control the tempo of the dance floor is William Nanka Bruce aka DJ Blow whose decades of experience is brought to full throttle every last Friday as he delivers guests to the promised land of the nostalgic good old days of the 70’s, 80’ and 90’s.
The “big” men and women of Ghana attend this must do event so if you miss out on this opportunity to treat yourself to a fun night out then the lyrics of the 1971 old school track by Jean Knight - “Mr Big man who do you think you are” will be very appropriate for the unlucky truants.
This Friday’s theme - “Afrochique”, where the vibrant colours, patterns and textures of African fabric take center stage will be an event not to be missed especially if you are of the pre CD generation. This is a chance to flaunt the beautiful and innovative designs of your favourite fashion house.
There is ample secured parking at the venue and SOHO opens its doors from 10pm onwards with the admission fee still at GHC 50. The first one hundred guests will enjoy a chilled and bubbly glass of world class premium Mumm Champagne on arrival to whet their appetites and set the standard for an evening of superior taste and high standards.
