Dont Mourn, Celebrate Theodosia Okoh Fred Agbenyo

Fred Agbenyo, Deputy Communications Director of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has asked Ghanaians to celebrate rather than mourn the designer of Ghana’s National flag, Mrs Theodosia Okoh.

Madam Okoh, born Theodosia Salome Asihene passed away on Sunday, 19th April, 2015 at the age of 92.

So many people have expressed fond memories of Madam Theodosia who came in the news in 2013 when Accra Mayor, Oko Vanderpuiye tried to change the name of the Accra Hockey Pitch from Theodosia Okoh to Atta Mills Hockey Pitch.

Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi during ‘Kokrokoo’ programme on PEACE FM, Fred Abgenyo said Madam Okoh “has paid her dues” and so instead of mourning her, “she should rather be celebrated”.
