KKDs Daughter Has No Fear Of God In Her..She Is Very Insensitive

The 19-year-old daughter of the ace broadcaster, Kwasi Kyei Darkwa has been described by a private lawyer, Maurice Ampaw as insensitive without the fear of God and proper home bringing in her.

Ohemaa Kyei Darkwa, the daughter, told Accra-based Starr FM in an exclusive interview after rape charges against her father were dropped that she had always believed her father did not rape the 19-year-old victim.

She said: “I am incredibly excited because it is just very good to know that my dad has been granted the justice he deserves, this case has been bogus from the start.”

She added: “It is not the age that matter to me but it was the accusation that bothered me because at the end of the day…it is an issue of whether it was a criminality or not and it wasn’t so we are going to the African Regent Hotel to celebrate".

But Lawyer Maurice Ampaw wants KKD’s daughter to "shut up" since her father was discharged by the court because some influential people pleaded with the rape victim, Ewuraffe and her family to drop the case.

He again reminded KKD’s daughter that her father got off the hook because the state prosecutor decided to discontinue the case due to some reasons which should have been overlooked.

“If her father had indeed won a case of rape charge and there is fear of God in her and she was well trained at home, she is suppose to go to church to thank God. Going to the same African Regent Hotel where the rape took place to celebrate her father’s victory, appears to suggest she is trying to mock Ewuraffe and her family….for her to describe the rape charge as bogus and to go celebrate at African Regent Hotel, KKD’s daughter is insensitive”, he chided.

A statement from the Attorney General (AG) explained among other things that a Nolle Prosequi was filed because the victim had indicated that she is highly traumatized from the incident and its aftermath thereby rendering her incapable to appear in court.

The AG further stated that the other witnesses in this case who are mostly family members of Ewuraffe are also unwilling to testify. The AG vowed to continue the prosecution of the alleged rape case despite the victim’s request for the court to drop the matter.

Moments after the ruling, an "incredibly excited" Ohemaa told the media what she thought of the charges against her father.

But her remarks appear not to go down well with Maurice Ampaw.

In a interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese, host of OkayFM's "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, he argued that for KKD’s daughter to describe the rape charge as bogus is a slap in the face of the victim's family and the A-G's department.
