On May 1st, e.tv Ghana will hold the 5th edition of the Ghana’s Most Influential Awards to recognize the top 100 most influential personalities as voted by the general public.

To be held at the La palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, the event is one of the prestigious award ceremonies in the country which seeks to recognize Ghanaians who are making great impact in the society.

Commenting on the event, JOT Agyeman, the General Manager for e.TV Ghana stated “It is our pleasure to showcase this year’s top 100 most influential personalities in Ghana.

This event has been a great way of giving our viewers and the general public the opportunity to tell us about the people who have affected their lives and their societies in a positive way.”

“As a television station with the objective of effecting change in the Ghanaian society, we are passionate about recognizing the people who positively impact our lives and acknowledging their good work. On behalf of e.TV, I congratulate all the hundred most influential personalities ahead of the ceremony” JOT added.

The process for the this edition of e.TV’s Ghana Most Influential Awards was officially started in November when the bid was opened for the general public to nominate personalities they believe have been most influential in the year 2014.

Nominations were solicited through radio, TV, via text through a short code, and online. Public voting was 70%, while a specially constituted committee had a 30% voting weight, bringing it to a total of 100%. The entire voting process was verified, vetted and approved by Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF), a highly respected audit firm.

The e.TV Ghana Most Influential Awards aims at recognising and encouraging Ghanaians to contribute to a better society.
