Fire on Sunday evening gutted a fuel filling station at Kokode, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The fire according to an eyewitness who called the fire service started around 6pm.

He told Citi News that they saw the fire as the fuel tanker with registration number GT 6633 13 was emptying its content into the underground tank of the station known in local parlance as “Gawo gawo.”

Two taxi cabs with registration numbers AW 1751 Z and GR 818 P, both of Toyota brands also got burnt in the process.
