Award Winning, Boniface Mwangi To Speak At This Years Ghanas Most Influential Awards

This year’s edition of Ghana’s Most Influential will be attended by one of Africa’s most illustrious photojournalists, Boniface Mwangi.

The award ceremony, which will be the 5th edition, is one of the country’s most prestigious awards program that seeks to recognize Ghanaians who have been instrumental in positively impacting their society.

Boniface Mwangi, the award-winning Kenyan photojournalist, became the eye of Kenyans during the 2007 post-election violence.

He courageously used his love for photography to denounce violence that claimed the lives of more than 1000 and displaced about half a million people.

In 2009 Secretary of State of the United States, Hillary Clinton commended Boniface for his work during the post-election violence and stated: "Your photography is absolutely stunning and tells an important and powerful story for the world to hear".

Commenting on the event, JOT Agyeman, the General Manager for e.TV Ghana, organizers of the award ceremony, stated “We are humbled to have Boniface Mwangi join us at this year’s edition. He depicts the objective of the awards ceremony that is recognizing Ghanaians working in their various capacities to positively shape their society’.

The event will be held at the La Palm Royale Beach Hotel at 7pm. There will be representation of all the top 100 Most Influential Personalities.
