Nestl� CERELAC Celebrates Mother�s Day

Nestl� CERELAC�, through its consumer services team, played host to over 700 mothers at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra, on the 10th of May 2015 in honor of the selfless love, affection and sacrifices of mothers towards their children. The forum was held under the theme �Celebrating Mothers � The Role of Mothers in Healthy Child Nutrition� On the day, Mothers' from various women groups were educated by Mrs. Serwa Amoah, Principal Nursing Officer (Korle-Bu). Mrs. Amoah spoke about the importance of probiotics and iron in infant nutrition. Patrons were thrilled following the surprise introduction and performance by Gospel Artiste of the year Selina Boateng. This performance was followed by an educative drama by Mercy Asiedu and her drama troupe on the theme. Second part of the event was a much more interactive one between mothers and popular Obaa Mbo Hostess - Doris Ansah and renowned and well respected social figure Akosua Agyapong. Mothers were given the opportunity to ask questions ranging from good parenting, to personal tips on living and maintaining a healthy life style. Nestl� CERELAC� with probiotics, which remains a household name in infant nutrition, also took the opportunity to outdoor their relatively newest addition. CERELAC� Millet is iron fortified to address the issue of the micronutrient deficiency gap currently identified amongst children in sub-Saharan Africa. Millet is an addition to the already existing and nutritious CERELAC� cereals choices of Maize, Wheat, Rice, Honey, and Fruit Pieces. The MC of the day was Afia Ansaa Ampene of Mmaa Nkommo fame.
