Ampong Attacked Again?

Mr. Michael Ampong, a leading communicator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is alleging that he has been attacked twice in a week by unknown hooligans.

The attacks are apparently in response to his criticism of some party heavyweights for what he has described as their reckless comments”. In a text message to The Insight Michael Ampong wrote “Do you know my home was invaded by thugs around 2am this dawn and in the process destroyed the locks of my living room?

“But I am not scared I will fight them till they kill me or I kill them. Please you can investigate to find out the credibility of the attacks on my life”

This is the second time in about seven days that Mr. Ampong is making such an allegation. Last week, he claimed that he was followed by two men in a pickup truck on his way home.

The attackers warned that if he did not stop criticizing some party leaders they would deal with him.

Mr. Ampong is a known supporter of Mr. Alan Kyeremateng and is currently associated with the National Party Chairman Mr. Paul Afoko.

Amongst many other statements, he has said that Mr. Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, Director of the Danquah Institute is the main problem of the NPP.

In an interview with Radio Gold, Mr. Ampong said, the party needs to find a solution to the problem of “Gabby.”

Gabby has not responded to the claims of Ampong.

Both Mr. Afoko and Mr. Kwabena Agyapong, General Secretary are currently under siege for allegedly not working hard enough for Nana Akufo Addo.

Mr. Kwabena Agyapong was one time the campaign manager of Nana Akufo-Addo.
