Prez Mahama Cuts Sod For Rehabilitation Of Eastern Region Roads

President John Dramani Mahama will Wednesady cut the sod for the beginning of rehabilitation works on a number of urban and feeder roads in the Eastern Region under the cocoa roads rehabilitation programme.

Government has set aside $150 million for the programme which cuts across all the cocoa growing regions of the country.

Separate ceremonies are scheduled for Kyebi and Adeiso to signify the start of work across the Eastern region.

Kyebi is benefitting from the rehabilitation of the town roads, while the Apedwa-Kyebi-Bunso, and the Adeiso-Asamankese roads are being tackled.

In his 2015 State of the Nation address the President listed a number of roads that were to be improved under the cocoa roads rehabilitation programme.
