WAEC Cancels 5 BECE Papers: WAEC Boss Must Step Down - NDC MP

Hon. Nii Amasah Namoale, the Member of Parliament (MP) for La Dadekotopone has called for ‘heads to roll’ at the Headquarters of the West African Examination Council (WAEC).

To him, the leakage of exam questions which has lead to the mass cancellation of some papers in the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is a shame and the head of that establishment must be “held responsible for it”.

...the one who is in-charge of WEAC must honourably step aside because he or she is responsible for the leakage. He or she must take the ultimate responsibility for the leakage,” he said on NEAT 100.9 FM .

Hon. Namoale made this call when news of the mass annulment of papers in the ongoing BECE which commenced on Monday 15th, June 2015.

In a telephone interview with Agnes Tei Cudjoe, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the WAEC, five subjects, namely; Education 2, Religious and Moral Education 2, Integrated Science 2, Mathematics 2 and Social Studies 2 after investigations by the examination body proved they were “compromised”.

But the La Dadekotopon Law Maker is of the view that ‘heads must roll’ to serve as a deterrent to others who would want to indulge in such acts.
