All-Share Index rises on gains in banking Stocks

The benchmark GSE All-Share index of the Ghana Stock Exchange rose to reverse Monday's loss, buoyed by price appreciation in two banking stocks. The index went up by 9.54 points to close the session at 5,295.83 points from 5,286.29 points on Monday. Change for the year to date now stands at -49.23 per cent and Shares that changed hands were higher at 148,600 shares compared to 85,900 shares at the previous session. Market capitalisation went up marginally at GH�15,187.08 million from GH�15,180.13 million. There were two positive price changes. Ghana Commercial Bank gained GH�0.02 at GH�0.70 and CAL Bank went up by GH�0.01 at GH�0.25. M
