Doctors Are Flooding Us With Too Much ThreatsThey Speak Like Politicians Alhaji Bature

Alhaji Iddrisu Bature, the Managing Editor of the Al-Hajj Newspaper has advised Ghanaian doctors to tone down on their threats to get government to swiftly respond to their pleas.

According to him, their posture is a danger to the citizenry.

He noted that if the necessary measures are not taken, other public sectors will emulate such strategy – “Which wouldn’t be helpful”.

There must always be a balance in whatever we do...this is getting too much, they [Doctors] speak with threats; they speak more or less like politicians,” he said on Kasapa FM’s "Si Me So" political show.

Alhaji Bature was discussing the recent strike threat by the Ghana Medical Association, this was after Doctors and the Union of Health Service Workers reportedly spurned a framework document presented at a meeting with the Health Ministry.

The meeting was for them to sign a draft framework that spells out conditions of services for the health sector.

The GMA and Health Workers have been demanding better conditions of service since January 2015.
