Mahama's Gunman Promised I Will Be His Personal Bodyguard (AUDIO)

Kweku Fosu, a close friend of Charles Antwi, the culprit who allegedly planned to kill President John Dramani Mahama, has disclosed how he (Charles) intended to make him his bodyguard should the act be successful.

Charles Antwi was arrested last Sunday for wielding a loaded locally manufactured gun at the Ringway Gospel Centre branch of the Assemblies of God Church in Accra, where President Mahama worships.

On Tuesday, 28th July 2015, he told an Accra High Court that he went to the Church to kill the President as he is unable to solve the ongoing energy crisis (Dumsor).

He was subsequently sentenced to 10 years in prison.

But, Kweku Fosu, who is regarded as a confidant to the incarcerated Antwi, expressed surprise at the turn of events, saying “I thought he was joking all this while”.

After returning from Italy and Lybia, he said Gaddafi asked him to come and oust Atta Mills but he died and the seat was taken over by John Mahama and so he decided to kill Mahama so that he can become the President. He said he will enlist me as his personal bodyguard and give me one of the police patrol cars to use as taxi. We thought he was joking not knowing he was dead serious,” Kweku Fosu said in an interview on PEACE FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’.
