Prez Mills Abhor Greedy Politicians

President John Evans Atta Mills, on Sunday, 9th August, 2009 abhorred politicians, who line their pockets and those of their families and relatives with state resources to the detriment of the people. He said he was made President at the will of God and would do his bidding by heeding the concerns of the people. President Mills was addressing a thanksgiving service in Ho on Sunday, to end the 68th Synod of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC) that was on the theme: "Faithful Stewardship-Key to Divine Blessing". He invited "critical observers" to point out shortfalls and slips, as his government tackled the problems of the country. President Mills, who indicated that he was an honorary member of the Church, said challenges of the nation were big but a path to realizing results had been charted and that success would be attained. He said government would continue to chart the path of democracy and asked God to make the authorities live up to responsibilities entrusted to them by the people. Right Reverend Dr Emmanuel Komla Gbordzoe, Moderator of the GEC, in a sermon congratulated Professor Mills for instilling morality and integrity in governance.
