Following the ongoing internecine turf war among leadership of the New Patriotic Party, and having now realized the unattractiveness of the party and its flag bearer to the electorate ahead of 2016 elections, friends of the opposition NPP in the leadership of the various labor unions across the country have upped their ante as reported by The al-hAJJ sometime back, with the sole purpose of crippling the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress government.
Further worsening their plight is also the fact that the John Mahama government’s improved performance in all sectors of the economy, is slowly but steadily diminishing the chances of their darling party, the NPP, annexing power next year, and as a last resort, these political appendages masquerading as leaders of labor unions, this paper’s investigations have revealed, have resolved to intensify their various unconscionable industrial actions (legal or otherwise) to eclipse the gains government has made so far for a possible overthrow of the John Mahama administration without the firing of a single bullet.
These union leaders wearing political garments are said to be of the belief that their diabolical agenda would ultimately make the government unpopular and incur the wrath of the generality of people which will then culminate into popular insurrection, The aL-hAJJ has gathered.
Proponents of this despicable but well-rehearsed scheme who are in cahoots with the opposition NPP, are reported to be within the leadership of the Ghana Medical Association, University Teachers Association of Ghana, Judicial Staff Association of Ghana, Teachers and Educational Workers Union of Ghana, National Association of Graduate Teachers, Ghana National Association of Teachers, Government Pharmacists, Trades Union Congress, Nurses and Midwives, Mental Nurses, State Attorneys, Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana among others.

Sources say kingpins of the opposition NPP are reeling in pain; government’s successful handling of some of the challenges that have plagued the country under President John Mahama and are of the view that, this could close the door on their bid to recapture power in 2016.
