The Ghana Medical Association has suspended its three week own strike.

The leadership has asked all members to restore full service effective Monday August 24th, 2015.

Below is a message communicating the calling off of the strike action.

"Dear GMA members, at an emergency council meeting held on Friday, 21st August, 2015, NEC has taken the decision to suspend the ongoing industrial action. All members are to restore full services. This is effective Monday, 24th August, 2015. "This decision was taken to ensure that our ultimate goal to secure signed conditions of service document is achieved. An official announcement would be made later in the day. Please note that the Greater Accra division cpd/meeting has been postponed to 30th august 2015.
