"Kalyppo Kares" Free Health Screening For Children

Kalyppo, one of Ghana's leading natural juice brands for children, has undertaken a health screening for kids at Kwabenya and its environs.

The health screening, which is part of Kalyppo's Corporate Social Responsibility in conjunction with Sangy Nursing Services, took place over the weekend with scores of children presenting themselves for medical checkups.

The checkups ranged from dental care to skin care.

During the screening, over 50 percent of the children were recorded to have bad breath and oral hygiene.

“This is as a result of poor supervision by parents or guardians at home and lack of proper education on how to keep and maintain healthy and strong cavities."

Also, some children had various skin infections from skin rashes, eczema to measles.

"It all comes back to poor supervision of the parents on the personal hygiene of these kids...” an official intimated to Peacefmonline.com.

The free health screening dubbed "Kalyppo Kares" is still ongoing and will be extended to communities like Jamestown, Madina and Tema Community 1.

The screening will end on Saturday, September 5, 2015.
