The Reverend Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, Ga Presbytery Chairman of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana on Sunday said life is about making choices, saying �The only thing that we do not have the opportunity to choose is our parents.� He explained that the challenge for many Christians is that they want to follow the crowd, instead of making efforts to stand out by their choices. Rev. Dr. Odonkor said this in a Sermon when he led the Mount Moriah Congregation of the Presbyterian Church to lay the Foundation Stone of their new church building. He was speaking on the theme: �Will you also go� based on the book of John chapter 6 verse 67. Rev. Dr Odonkor pointed out that the greatest of all choices that we have as human beings is to choose to be a Christian or not be, adding that �The choices we make today determine what the future will be� He, therefore, admonished Christians that like Joshua in the Bible we should resolve to serve the Lord well, �As for me and my house we will serve the Lord�. �If Jesus Christ will not solve your problems nobody else will be able to do so,� he asserted Commenting of the Mount Moriah Congregation, Rev. Dr. Odonkor said the church which started from a humble beginning in a classroom has now become a peri-urban church which clearly demonstrated God at work �Mount Moriah Congregation is a beacon of hope and a light house for the Danfa community,� he said commending the Pastor and the entire leadership of the church for their good work. Explaining the purpose of the laying of the foundation stone, he said it is done to invoke the spirit of God, the occasion is use to bury the history of the church, history of Ghana, the word of God and other relevant information in the foundations of the building for future generation to be able to access it.
