GFA Honors Sponsors

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will next Wednesday award various sponsors who have contributed immensely to the development of football in the country. The GFA would honor various institutions including Gold Fields Ghana Limited, Headline Sponsors of the Black Stars; PUMA, Glo Mobile, who are the current official sponsors of the Premier League and Guinness Ghana Limited during its 2008/2009 annual Congress. Other institutions who are expected to receive awards include CCTC, Coca-Cola, Polytank, official sponsor of the Division One League, Vodafone/Onetouch, former sponsor of the Premier League and MTN Ghana. The rest are First Atlantic Merchant bank, Ecobank, Kinapharma, Zenith Bank, Nestle Ghana, Glico, Voltic Ghana, Optimum Media Prime, Ghana Link and GTP. The Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council would also be honored for their assistance to the GFA. The GFA further noted that their remarkable progress over the years was as result of the kind support of these corporate bodies and institutions. �In recognition of their financial and other contributions to our association, we have decided to honor them during our 2008/2009 annual congress,� a statement from GFA noted.
