PHOTOS: Four Dead In A Fatal Accident At Kyekyewere On The Accra-Suhum Road
Three VIP buses and a truck have been involved in a fatal accident on the Accra-Kumasi road at Kyekyewere in the Eastern region.
The accident occurred Thursday morning.
According to an eyewitness, the VIP buses with registration numbers: BA 1680 - 14, ME 6001 - 12 were coming from Kumasi to Accra while the truck with number GC 7705 - 11 was heading from Accra when the incident happened.
An eyewitness told Peacefmonline.com that one of the VIP buses parked along the road and another bus behind attempted to overtake it resulting in a head-on collision with the truck.
The third bus which was speeding off also smashed into the collided vehicles.
Four casualties have been recorded and scores of other passengers were seriously injured.
The mortal remains of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue of the Suhum Government Hospital while the many injured passengers have also been taken to the same hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, Police personnel have been to the scene to control the situation.
