The Kpehe deanery of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR), a spiritual movement within the Catholic Church, has held its maiden conference in Accra, with a call on Ghanaians to desist from lifestyles that inhibit their progress.
Addressing the participants, the assistant parish priest of the St Paul’s Catholic Church, Kpehe, Rev Fr Emmanuel Salifu, said sexual promiscuity, drug abuse and laziness could adversely prevent people from realising their potential and achieving their dreams.
The event which was on the theme “You shall receive power and be my witnesses” attracted CCR members from the various parishes under the deanery as well as from other regions.
Exemplary lifestyle Rev Fr. Salifu admonished Ghanaians to live exemplary lives in order to fully utilise their talents for the betterment of the society.
“The world is so full of many vices that have gradually infiltrated every aspect of human endeavours. We, therefore, have to be wary of the things that we associate ourselves with and not become slaves to immoral activities,” he said.
