Hans-Dieter Schmidt Supports Sammy Kuffours Appointment As Kotoko GM

Former Asante Kotoko coach Hans-Dieter Schmidt says the impending appointment of Sammy Osei Kuffour as the new General Manager for the Porcupine Warriors is a good decision. The 67-year-old German gaffer has backed the decision by Otumfou Osei Tutu to appoint the former Bayern Munich Star as the Clubs new CEO. Kuffour is yet to be given the mandate to control the affairs of the Kumapem Club despite holding a meeting with his Royal Highness Otumfou Osei Tutu. Schmidt who acted as the head coach for the former Ghana Champions from 2004-2005 and also led the team to the 2004 CAF Confederations Cup finals has supported Otumfuos decision to choose the former Black Stars defender as the new Manager for the Club. It is a good decision, Sammy was a very good player and played for a successful Club like Bayern Munich. He assured very good contact in the world of football, giving two years time to prepare professionally structures in the Club then you can answer. The former King Faisal coach also urged the Club to appoint ex-Ghana striker Tony Yeboah to be a board member of the Club. I wish Anthony Yeboah will be a board member, with his experience and contact he can also help Kotoko. Kuffour faces a huge task by putting in place measures to help the Club regain their domestic and continental glory.
