Black Stars Land in Washington for Canada Game

Players and officials of the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars have landed in Washington DC in the United States of America for the friendly clash against Canada on at the Tuesday.


The delegation led by Black Stars management committee chairman George Afriyie arrived in Washington from Accra Thursday night with goalkeeper Fatau Dauda and the backroom staff led by assistant coach Maxwell Konadu.

The local contingent met Coach Grant who was already in Washington after a scouting trip of the United Staes over the weekend.

Some members of the foreign contingent includingAfriyie Acquah,Razak Brimah, Alfred Duncan, Harrison Afful, Albert Adomah, Phil Ofosu-Ayeh joined the squad by early evening with several others expected to join later. The team will will start training today at 6pm ahead of the duel against Canada on Tuesday, the 13th of October.

Captain of the side Asamoah Gyan and deputy captain, Andre Ayew have pulled out of the game due to injuries. Christian Atsu and Rabiu Mohammed have also asked to be excused due to injuries.
