Hearts To Place Injunction On GFA Ordinary Congress

The Phobians were docked three points after the Appeals Committee ruled in favor of Asante Kotoko over the eligibility of Kotoko striker Obed Owusu who had initially been deemed �unqualified� by the disciplinary committee after Hearts filed in a protest against their rivals having lost the derby clash at the Accra Sports Stadium in match-day 25 of the First Capital plus Premier League. Hearts had unofficially finished fourth in the League after being awarded 3 points by the disciplinary committee while Kotoko placed sixth at the end of the domestic top-flight. The Porcupine Warriors however filed in an appeal to overturn the decision by the disciplinary committee which eventually proved successfully after they were given back their six points deducted. The latest verdict by the Appeals committee saw Hearts drop to the 13 position while Kotoko moved to 2nd. Management of the Rainbow Club after the ruling has expressed their dissatisfaction hence planning to place an injunction on next month�s congress which will pave way for the new season to begin. The congress is expected to declare Ashanti Gold as winners of the 2014/15 season as well as to confirm the demotion of the three relegated Clubs thus Hears of Lions, BA United and Great Olympics. Dreams FC, Ebusua Dwarfs and yet to be confirmed winner of the Zone III League will be ushered into the elite division during the congress.
