15 Flagstaff Workers Injured In Accident...As Bus Nearly Topples Over (PICTURES)

Fifteen (15) workers of the Flagstaff House have been seriously injured in a road accident on the Ako-Adjei Interchange, Thursday morning, when a staff bus conveying workers ALMOST toppled over sideways as it headed towards the Presidency.

The Mercedes Benz bus had on board 20 people, including staff from the presidency, immigration personnel and some artisans.

The incident led to a massive traffic pile up as commuters were halted to enable emergency services reach victims of the accident.

According to reports, the accident occurred when a Man Diesel Truck from the Canadian Embassy portion of the road, ran into the government registered staff bus, as the driver attempted a turn towards the Osu stretch of the interchange.

The driver of the truck reportedly said he had a brake failure and had to hit the bus from behind to stop his truck.

Commander of the Cantonment Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD), ASP John Airriah, told the media in an interview that the truck driver sustained minor injuries on the cheek but driver of the police bus escaped unhurt
