Hearts Unfazed By Criticism Over Appointment Of Japanese Coach - Joe Addo

Accra Hearts of Oak�s co-operate affairs manager Joe Addo says the Club is unperturbed about the recent criticism following the appointment of Japanese trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi as the new head coach for the side. Kenichi Yatsuhashi arrived on Sunday to seal a two-year deal with the former Ghana Champions. Hearts have been in search of a new head coach following the sacking of Herbert Addo. Kenichi�s appointment however came as a surprise after the Club had shortlisted three out of the over 15 coaches that applied for the vacant position. Many footballs fans have since criticized the Club�s decision to appoint the unknown football tactician who is expected to begin work this week. Joe Addo in an interview with Accra-based Starr Fm says the Club is unfazed by the numerous criticisms from the football public. �Let them criticize, let them say whatever they want to say, even if Hearts of Oak brought Jose Mourinho somebody will criticize.� �When we were going for Tom Strand there were so many criticisms, Ernst Middindorp�s name came up so many criticisms so you can�t satisfy everybody that is why we live in a democratic country.� �That decision was taken by the board. The board is a very knowledgeable board. We have lawyers there, we have politicians, we have accountants, and we have very intelligent people on the board.� �We are hiring him and his being given an opportunity to come and coach Accra Hearts of Oak, nobody knew Tom Strand but he came and he did well.� Kenichi is expected to meet the Hearts of Oak board today to finalize the deal which is expected to see him the Club until 2017.
