The board of the Phobians formally unveiled the Japanese coach to the press on Wednesday with a mandate to improve the fortunes of the club who have endured a poor run of form in the league in the past five years.
Yatsuhashi’s appointment has been met with skepticism from both fans and pundits who have raised questions about his relative inexperience at coaching at club level.
Zakkour in a tirade on Asempa Fm’s "Fire for Fire” program lampooned the appointment. “What is this coach coming to do?” “Is he an engineer or what? He cannot coach Hearts of Oak. “Hearts of Oak is not a small team for such a coach to come and say he will coach Hearts.
“A coach from Japan? He can’t coach Hearts of Oak. He is an engineer. Yes,a Toyota engineer.” Zakkour also decried the poor state of the club under current majority share holder,Togbe Afede and threatened a hostile take over if things did not change.
"Togbe Afede is not a fan of the club. Being a majority shareholder means nothing. What has he done for the club since he took over?"
