Afokos Suspension Must Not Mess Our Political Cohesion

As part of effort to secure eighty percent (80%) of the 2016 total votes in the Ashanti Region, the organizing arm of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has come out with stipulated orders enshrined in their constitution to bar some members from destroying the party. In a statement signed by the Ashanti Regional Organizer of the NPP, Mr. Stephen Amoah and copied to Peacefmonline.com, it directed all party members to immediately put a stop to attacking the National Executive Committee in a negative way based on their decision to suspend Mr. Paul Afoko, their beleaguered National Chairman. This they say is in line with the constitution of the Party. The organizing arm of the party specifically mentioned Article 3D(i) and (iv)to back their claim. Below is a copy of the statement Article 3D(i) states that a member of the party shall protect and promote the good name of the party. 3D(iv) abide by and publicly uphold the decisions of the party. We as a region are accordingly urging all our members to desist from making any comments on the issue publicly. Anyone or group found to disregard this directive or order will be accordingly sanctioned using the appropriate constitutional structures of the party. By copy of this letter, I am urging the Regional Secretariat and the Communication Directorate to monitor the electronic and print media to ensure that these directives are being adhered to. We as a region will not tolerate any form of behaviour, statement, comment that will mess up or has the potential to disturb the political cohesion prevailing in the region. ---------Sign-------- Mr. Stephen Amoah (Act Regional Organiser) 0543436702 / 0209757151 Daniel Boateng(Act Dep.
