Prez Mills Assures The People of Oguaa

His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills has called on the people of Cape Coast to exercise restraint as his administration is doing all it can to re-build the nation. According to him, by the end of the four year mandate given to his gov't by the good people of Ghana, everything will be in order. President Mills expressed these sentiments at a grand durbar of the chiefs and people of Oguaa, to climax the week-long celebration of their annual Fetu Afahye festival. The colourful festival which brought together the seven Asafo companies of the area engaged in dramatic displays as they went on procession through the principal streets of the town. The event was witnessed by a large number of people including Mr. Samuel Valis Akyeanu, an ambassador designate, the Chief of Staff, Mr. Harry Martey Newman and the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Armah Ashietey. Also present were the Regional Minister, Ama Benyiwa-Doe and Cape Coast Metropolitan Chief Executive, Mr Anthony Egyir Aikins, the Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Joseph Annan and Mr. Ebo Barton-Odro, Deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice. President Mills once again re-echoed that his "gov't inherited a pool of debt from the past administration," and called for "all hands to be on deck" in supporting him "put the nation on the right path."
