The newly elected parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress party for Bimbila constituency Dr. Joseph Kwabena Manboah Rockson is suggesting that the only way to end the intermittent tribal conflict in Bimbila is to vote out Hon. Dominic Nitiwul as the Member of Parliament for the area.

He says the vociferous MP is exploiting the tribal division among the people in Bimbila for political capital.

"The assertion that I made is that, every four (4) years when Nitiwu comes out for re-election, he tries to ignite a small issue by making it look Konkomba man attacking Dagomba man or Dagomba man attacking Konkomba man then he uses that as basis for campaign..."

The NDC candidate for the area who was quick to differentiate the the kind of conflict he alleged Hon. Nitiwul was fueling added the MP has been overly reluctant to finding solutions to the violence because he believes he(MP) is a beneficiary of the conflict.

He said the MP has no positive achievements to his almost a decade stay in Parliament apart from beating war drums and campaigning on tribal lines.

Dr. Joseph Manboah advised the people to vote for him if they want to live in peace with their brothers in Bimbila

"Even though he has spent so many years in Parliament he has practically done nothing for Bimbila in terms of social cohesion for a prone conflict zone like Bimbila. He has done nothing he is just being in Accra. He doesn't even know the people who voted for him, This time the Konkombas are speaking they are saying he hasn't done anything for them he has weaken the unity" Dr. Joseph Manboah said.
