Police Must Arrest Hassan Ayariga; He Has Threatened To Kill Me - PNC Chairman

Would you describe the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) as ‘incorrupt’ after making it public that his party’s 2012 flagbearer, Hassan Ayariga bribed him to “manufacture” votes to enable him win the party’s upcoming primaries?

Well, Chairman Bala Meikankan made this revelation after he failed to deliver his part of the deal and has been receiving death threats from his 2012 flagbearer.

Bala now lives in fear after the threat – this is because Hassan Ayariga has been hinted that Bala after receiving GHC 10, 000.00 cash from him is scheming for his defeat in the party’s upcoming primaries on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Bolgatanga in the Upper East region.

Speaking on NEAT FMs’ morning show 'Ghana Montie', Bala Meikankan who is yet to lodge a formal complaint with the police is calling for an immediate arrest of the former presidential hopeful.

He explained that – Ayariga induced him to commit a ‘crime’ - “I am not ready to do that".

The PNC Greater Accra Regional chairman however admitted receiving the amount from his flagbearer on agreement to "manufacture" votes for him to beat his stiff opponent and three-time flagbearer, Dr. Edward Mahama.

“The police must arrest Hassan Ayariga. How can I convince the people of Accra to vote for him? He want 100% votes from Accra. That will be a miracle…but not in this era,” he told host Kwasi Aboagye.
