"This One Isn't Corruption...It Is Stealing; Pure Thievery!" - Kwamena Duncan

Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwamena Duncan has implicated President John Dramani Mahama in the Ameri power deal with the Government of Ghana.

Recent reports by a Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang (VG) indicated that a Norwegian Pakistani man Umar Farooq Zahoor who was a party in signing the Ameri power contract with the Power Minister Kwabena Donkor and the Government of Ghana, has been on the wanted list of Interpol.

The newspaper revealed that the aforementioned Norwegian is wanted by the Norwegian and Swiss Police for committing serious acts of fraud.

The Ameri power deal is also reported to have been signed at an inflated cost of $510 million.

Addressing the issue on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Kwamena Duncan noted that the deal stinks to the "high heavens" and repeatedly stressed that "this one is not corruption. It is stealing. Thievery! People are stealing things.

According to him, President John Mahama should be blamed for the Ameri deal because "he's the person behind Ameri."

Kwamena Duncan charged Ghanaians to hold the President responsible and accountable to them.

"I can smell President Mahama's hands in this Ameri deal...The good people of this country must rise up and tell him that Mr. President; you are the man behind this.
