NPP Sunyani Congress: Ex-President Kufour Spoke As True Statesman

James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly called Kabila, of the Convention People's Party (CPP) has commended Ex-President John Agyekum Kufour over remarks he made at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sunyani Congress.

President John Agyekum Kufour, addressing a fully-charged NPP delegates at Sunyani, advised the party not to sideline the suspended National executives.

According to Ex-President Kufour, the votes of the suspended National Chairman Paul Afoko, the Second Vice National Chairman Sammy Crabbe and the General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong count so far as victory is concerned for the NPP.

He urged both the party to focus on clinching victory for the NPP.

"We need everybody within the party. Closed the lines because it is power. The justification for the party is winning power. We need power so we must (have) include everybody within the party. Anybody who professes to be with us, we must include them. And not only that; when we show unity, I tell you we become beautiful. We become sexy."

Kabila on Kokrokoo on Peace FM said Ex-President Kufour's comments were made in the interest of the party.

According to him, the nation should take a cue from the advice given by him (President Kufour) and cultivate a tolerance spirit so as to enhance the country's democracy.

He stressed that Ex-President Kufour spoke as a true Statesman at the NPP Sunyani Congress.
