All Banks Football Association holds first Walk

The Vice Chairman of the All Banks Football Association, (ABFA) Mr Frank Kusi-Addai has called on the public to take to physical exercise to stay healthy to be better placed to contribute towards the socio-economic development of the country. Mr Kusi-Addai said regular exercise produces a strong and healthy personnel needed for the accelerated progress of the nation. The Vice Chairman was speaking at the end of the Association�s maiden Walk in Accra on Saturday. It was aimed at sensitizing members and the public on the need to engage in regular exercises to stay healthy. Mr Kusi-Addai noted that people who adopt exercise as a life-style visit the hospitals rarely thereby saving their resources from settling bills and which also ensure they always stay active to carry out their duties. The ABFA Vice Chairman expressed the hope that more people would join the Walk and proposed that the programme be organized quarterly. Members of the Association made up of personnel from 18 banking institutions in the country which included Ecobank Ghana Limited, Ghana Commercial Bank Limited, Standard Chartered Bank and Barclays Bank Ghana Limited took part in the two-three-hour Walk. The Walk started from the El-Wak Stadium through the Trade Fair Centre, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Cantonments, Ako Adjei Interchange and back to the starting point.
