The US Is Watching Gitmo Ex-Detainees 24/7 Here In Ghana Foreign Affairs Minister

It sounds good to know that the United State of America [USA] has its vigilant security eyes on Mahmud Umar Muhammad Bin Atef and Khalid Muhammad Salih Al-Dhuby here in Ghana.

The two, Bin Atef is an admitted member of the Taliban and fought for Usama bin Laden, while Al-Dhuby trained with Al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

They arrived in Ghana on Thursday January 7, 2016 for a two-year stay as part of a deal reached between the United States of America and the Government of Ghana from the Guantanamo Bay.

But their stay is causing ‘fear and panic’ among the citizenry – perhaps of their background as terrorists.

But Foreign Affairs Minister, Hanna Tetteh has called for calmness – she noted that the US security agency will team up with the locals to monitor the detainees.

Speaking on Radio Gold – Mrs Tetteh assured that the US has it security satellite on the duo here in Ghana.

“They are watching them 24/7 here,” she guaranteed although some Ghanaians are not convinced.
