Mr Mark Woyongo, outgoing Minister of the Interior on Wednesday expressed his appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for the opportunity granted him to serve in his administration.

Mr Woyongo told the Ghana News Agency in Accra that “it is the President who appoints and he disappoints”, thus he is ever ready anywhere that he needs his services.

This follows his new appointment as a Minster of State at the Presidency in a recent Ministerial reshuffle on January 19, 2016.

He said as a public servant he is always ready to serve when given the chance since there is more work to be done for the development of the country.

Mr Woyongo said that he is waiting to hand over to his successor, adding, “I see my new portfolio as another opportunity to serve mother Ghana and I am grateful to the President.”
