Pratt Wades Into 'Ken Agyapong/Afia Schwarzenegger Impasse'

Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has wondered why a Member of Parliament and a ‘leading political figure’ will engage in a discourse which will not benefit the country.

Stopping short of naming who the politician was, the seasoned journalist said: “…as I was driving in I heard comments being made by Suhuyini about some quarrels on radio and television in the course of the week. My brother, which of us can be happy with this situation when leading political figures are discussing what happens within the pants of individuals?…and the threat is that if you talk, I will expose your nakedness; nakedness in its real sense?...I mean it’s incredible”.

During the week, a verbal altercation ensued between outspoken Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong and TV and Radio personality, Afia Schwarzenneger.

Afia Schwarzenneger, during her programme ‘Ye Wo krom’ on OKAY FM criticised the Assin Central MP for insulting the family members of President John Mahama. Click to read more

Kwesi Pratt contributing to a panel discussion on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji with host Suhuyini Alhassan, said: “Incredible, the level of discussion and the threat is that if you talk, I will expose your nakedness; nakedness in its real sense; I mean it’s incredible. This is a country which has enormous problems and difficulties. This is a country in which up to today some of our people drink from the same source of water as sheep and cows….and our politicians; this is the level of the discourse? This is unbelievable. It is completely amazing!”
