JB Danquahs Security Guard Granted Bail

The private security guard of the murdered Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, J.B Danquah-Adu, has been granted police enquiry bail.

The Deputy Minister for the Interior, James Agalga, disclosed this on Citi FM’s News and Current Affairs programme, “The Big Issue” on Saturday, Februrary 13.

The man whose real identity remains unknown was arrested as a suspect together with five others.

The five others, mostly persons who lived in the same house with the MP, were discharged shortly discharged after they were invited for questioning.

According to Mr. Agalga, the suspect was released on police enquiry bail but is expected to be reporting to the police station to assist in investigations.

Joseph Boakye Dankwah Adu’s alleged killer was also smoked out of his hideout by the Police on Thursday.

He is believed to have mounted a ladder on the compound of the house and climbed to the bedroom of the MP before stabbing him and leaving him in a pool of blood.

J.B Danguah’s death

The MP was killed at his residence at Shiashi in Accra, where he lived with his family.

Some neighbours of the late MP have told Citi News they heard about a struggle between the MP and his attackers, which forced them out of their homes only to find out that he had been killed.

They claimed to have seen a ladder behind the late MP’s bedroom, which they suspect was used by the assailants to access his room where he was killed.

According to them, they saw a man run out of the house but he could not use the main entrance because they had then called in the police who were stationed at the gate waiting to enter.
