NDC, Same Party With The Same Track Record...Their Hypocrisy Irritates Me - Kweku Baako

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako appears disgusted with the double standard behaviour of members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

His anger stems from what he considers to be the holier-than-thou attitude of NDC officials in the matter of acquisition of state property whiles in government.

Contributing to Peace FM's Kokrokoo Wednesday, Mr Baako expressed disappointment at the conduct of some government officials who repeatedly accuse the erstwhile Kufour administration of plundering national coffers by selling state properties to themselves and their cronies, when in actual fact; they (NDC) are also culpable of the same practice.

He disclosed that he has evidence to show that State lands and other State-owned legacies have been sold out to leading government officials in the current administration.

It becomes hypocritical when there’s an attempt to show that we have never done such a thing before. That irritates me. That’s a mark of hypocrisy of the highest order and yet there’s documented evidence to show that you have even done it beyond (what your predecessors did),” he argued.

To him, all the NDC administrations - NDC 1 under former president Rawlings, NDC 2 under the late JEA Mills and the current government - cannot claim the NPP holds sway over corruption and cautioned their spokespersons to tone down their accusations when discussing issues of graft, because the NDC remains the "same party with the same track record."
