Work Harder For Victory - Asamoah-Boateng

Mr Stephen Asamoah-Boateng, former Minister of Information, has called on members of the party to bury their differences and rally behind Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo –Addo in the November elections.

He said the delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have elected Nana Addo as the flag bearer and everything must be done to ensure that NPP clinches a landslide victory.

Mr Asamoah-Boateng made this known when he addressed supporters and executives of the Agona East Constituency branch of the party at a fund-raising rally at Agona Kwansakrom near Agona Swedru.

He said the NPP has chosen Nana Addo and there is the need for supporters to unite and work as a team to defeat the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mr Asamoah-Boateng said similar support must also be given to all Parliamentary candidates to enable the Party to win more seats.

He called on the members to desist from sabotaging the flag bearer or Parliamentary candidates.

The former Information Minister urged the members to revive the spirit exhibited before and during campaign in 2000 elections which brought the party to power.

He said the party’s primaries are over and urged supporters to halt all emerging squabbles for the good of the party.

Mr Asamoah-Boateng urged NPP supporters to ignore the inferior tactics and propaganda being adopted by the NDC.

Nana Kojo Frempong, former Agona East Constituency Chairman, urged members to ignore derogatory remarks from ruling NDC government and work hard for the party to win power.

Mr James Owusu-Barnes, Agona East NPP Parliamentary Candidate, said NPP is ready to recapture the seat in 2016 elections, as the constituency executives have adopted a strategic plan to enable the NPP to win both Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Mr Owusu-Barnes said Mr Kennedy Oheneba Agyapong, the Assin Central MP, has donated a Pick-up truck and other logistics to support their campaign.
